Welcome to Henrietta; the geographical center of the county as well as the apex for business, commerce, culture, and history!
By 1812, the early settlers of Henrietta had already established 6 asheries, 3 saw mills, and a brick yard; quickly followed by a store, post office, and hotel. Farms were developed and the Town of Henrietta became known for it's good soil, producing much needed food and grain. With the opening of the Erie Canal in 1825, farmers could inexpensively send their crops by barge and the town began to truly prosper!
To this day, the Town of Henrietta is known for it's low tax base and draws residents looking for a bigger 'bang for their housing dollar.'
